“Butet was such an authoritatively engaging presence and so vocally and physically expressive that he took us along with him despite the language difference.” – www.realtimearts.net”
“An entertaining and stimulating show that encourages the audience to think.” – Antara News”
Laugh along at the acerbic wit of seasoned comic artist and the founder of Teater Koma, Butet as he examines the role of the social commentator throughout history in this performance, set in a context where time moves back and forth as he relates with humourous cynicism his personal experiences with dead historical and political figures such as Gajah Mada, Cleopatra and Napoleon.
This one–man show of two characters (master and servant) is a comedy of errors cleverly managed by Butet who interchanges between the role of the critic and that of his long-suffering butler. He is also accompanied by multimedia projection and an off-stage chorus-cum-band whose rowdy verbal interjections, live sound effects and instrumental accompaniment add hilarity to the philosophical premise of this satire.
Performed in Bahasa Indonesia with English subtitles.
